Eric Vandiver is retired Navy Officer with 22 years of experience leading and managing teams. After graduating from Auburn University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management, including a strong emphasis in Business Administration, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy. Eric went on to receive his Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College in 2009.
During his tenure with the Navy, he served in various leadership positions from Officer-in-Charge of a security detachment deployed to Iraq to a head of department in USS COLE (DDG 67) to command of Navy Operational Support Center Quincy, MA. His most recent assignment was as Executive Officer of the Navy’s largest reserve center, in Norfolk, VA, where he led a staff of 87 people in the training, administration and human resources support of 2,550 Navy Reservists. Eric’s final major tasking was preparing and mobilizing Reserve Sailors to staff the USNS COMFORT and other units deployed to New York during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Eric is pursuing a career in financial services to leverage his military experience in fast paced, dynamic environments to simplify, streamline, and improve business operations. A natural teacher and organizer, Eric enjoys enabling others to achieve success.
